Partnering with parents in the nurture of children through a morning program of developmentally-appropriate learning activities.

Parents are the child's first and most significant spiritual guide and the FBC Weekday Preschool's role is to interpret a child's experiences in terms of God.  We offer a prayer at Thanksgiving before eating; we hear stories from the Bible; we focus on a Bible verse/thought each week; and, four and five year olds participate in monthly worship times in the First Baptist Chapel.  First Baptist Preschool does not teach doctrine.

The basis for classroom instruction is the Wee Learn curriculum.  Written from the Christian perspective, this developmental curriculum offers age-appropriate learning experiences.

The school year is based on a 166 day calendar beginning the day after Labor Day and ending the Thursday before Memorial Day. There are two length-of-day options: 9am - 12 noon, and 9am - 1pm.  Children register to attend school on specific days of the week for the entire term  There is no drop-in service.
