The First Baptist Weekday School was established over 50 years ago and has been a stepping stone for many young children before they begin their first years of elementary school. We are a developmental school and serve children ages infant to 5 years/pre-K. The Preschool year begins in September and ends in May. The calendar is subject to change if the school is closed unexpectedly for any event, including winter weather.
As a church-sponsored preschool, faith development is important. Parents are the child's first and most significant spiritual guide. FBC Weekday School views its responsibility to interpret all the child's experiences in terms of God. We offer prayers of thanksgiving before eating snack and lunch; we hear stories from the Bible; we focus on a Bible verse/Bible thought each week; and fours and fives worship in the Chapel on third Mondays. We do not teach doctrine.
FBC Weekday School classrooms use the WEE curriculum, a developmental curriculum with age-appropriate learning experiences. WEE Learn encourages children to ask, try, explore, choose, and reflect in order to develop independence and self-confidence. Depending on the age of your child, they will enjoy class field trips, special parent events, preschool family socials/dinners, and more. These are wonderful years of growing, learning and developing for small children and we hope you will share your child with use and join our FBC Weekday School family.
