Persons aged 55 or more are VIPs at FBC!  A significant sector of our church membership identify themselves as "senior adults," and a healthy percentage of our ministry is directed to -- and through -- this vitally important group.

The watchword of our umbrella organization, the Senior Adult Council, has come to us from the poetry of Robert Browning: "Grow old along with me!  The best is yet to be - - the last of life, for which the first was made" (Rabbi Ben Ezra, St. I.).

Under the watchful eye of the Senior Adult Council , our older adult ministries include monthly PrimeTime activities, homebound ministry, Bereavement Team, Friend's Day, Historical Committee, day trips and more.

PrimeTime is so-named because this gathering for persons 50 years and older takes place on the first weekday (Monday) of the first week of each month, October-December and February-June.  A wide spectrum of activities is included: crafts, exercise classes, prayer shawl knitting, lectures and presentation subjects of general interest to senior adults, an on-going Bible study, a wonderful lunch and after-lunch entertainment/speaker.  There is something for everyone on PrimeTime Monday! 

PrimeTime will resume in October 2013!  See you then.

FBC Day trips are offered throughout the year to lots of interesting places in and around the Piedmont Triad.  Everyone is invited to sign up and come along.  We offer a variety of trips from memorial visits to plays to shopping to gospel sings and preaching!  Come and have fun!
