Mission of FBC Weekday Preschool
Valuing children as gifts from God, each with unique needs and abilities, First Baptist Preschool's mission is to partner with parents in caring for and nurturing children by offering a morning program of developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
Faith Development for our Weekday Children
Parents are a child's first and most significant spiritual guides. Being church-sponsored, First Baptist Preschool sees as its responsibility to interpret all a child's experiences in terms of God. We pray before eating; we hear stories from the Bible; we focus on a Bible verse/Bible thought each week; we have monthly worship times in the Chapel for fours and fives. We do not teach doctrine.
Weekday Preschool Curriculum
The WEE Learn curriculum is the basis for the classroom instruction. WEE Learn, written from the Christian perspective, is a developmental curriculum with age-appropriate learning experiences for infants through five year olds.
Weekday Preschool Term
First Baptist Preschool offers a 165-day term beginning the day after Labor Day and ending by the last Friday in May. The school offers two length-of-day options: 9 a.m.-12 noon and 9 a.m. -1 p.m.
