 When a member of First Baptist Church is ill or is hurting emotionally, pastoral ministry teams are always ready to take the lead in ministry to those needs.
Pastor Ken Massey and Associate Pastor Steve Pressley give staff leadership to pastoral ministry and dozens of other church members are organized into several teams which minister in specific ways.
The Lay Hospital Visitation Team insures that anyone who is hospitalized receives a visit from a lay member of the team as well as from a member of the pastoral staff.
The FirstC.A.R.E. Visitation Team insures that anyone who has just been released from the hospital receives a visit, call and/or note from a FirstC.A.R.E. team member. It is very important to keep in contact with our family members especially while someone is continuing their recovery at home.
The Bereavement Committee coordinates ministry to families after the death of a family member.
The Deacons proactively minister to church members and others in crisis times.
Whenever a group of First Baptist Church members gathers, whether for worship, Bible study, choir practice, or fellowship, they pray for the needs of those persons on our constantly updated prayer list.
