Winter Bible Study is back!
Join us January 24-26 for a study of Paul's letter to the Philippians. Dr. Todd Still of the Truett Theological Seminary of Baylor University will lead the study. Todd is a specialist in Pauline studies and finds Paul's letter to the church at Philippi especially noteworthy, in that its author claims to have discovered the secret of contentment - - even while enduring the rigors of imprisonment.
Dr. Still is a Professor of Christian Scriptures and holds a BA in Greek and Sociology from Baylor, a M. Div. with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Glasgow, Scotland. He also studied at Cambridge University in England and the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.

The Stepping & Stopping Stones of Jesus
Sundays, 6-7 pm, Room 102
A new thematic Bible study begins Sunday, January 12. A variety of teachers, topics, and teaching methods will be the hallmark of this new Bible study. Dr. Jim Wayne will begin with a four-week series called, "The Stepping Stones of Jesus." Jesus stepped on the legalistic rules/law of his day . . . yet, these encounters became stepping stones to a closer relationship with God. Christ stopped along the way to meet a need and teach the art of presence in the here and now. Come explore the example set by Christ as recorded in teh Gospels of Luke and John, and learn the art of both stepping and stopping in your daily walk with God and in your ministry to others.
